Work Environment

You will operate within an outpatient office format, engaging with clients through virtual meetings and telehealth sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing assessments to strategically identify the needs of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.
• Maintain open lines of communication between various stakeholders, including supervisors, direct care staff, families, and guardians, regarding each individual's progress and therapeutic journey.
• Organize and propose a tentative schedule to supervisors that includes appointments, home visits, and necessary observational monitoring to track patient development.
• Coordinate and conduct home visits, ensuring compliance with requirements for in-home evaluations, charting reviews, and data analysis as part of the overall treatment plan.
• Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, contributing insights and updates on patient progress and treatment efficacy.
• Document monthly and quarterly progress notes systematically to maintain accurate patient records, ensuring easy access for the management team and other professionals.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff members to ensure they are well-trained in the implementation of treatment plans and compliant with documentation standards.
• Provide follow-up support through interviews, home visits, and observations for individuals, ensuring their ongoing needs are met effectively.
• Act as a liaison with the public and mental health community, providing support in achieving therapeutic development goals.
• Assist in creating training materials and procedures that enhance program delivery and responsive care to individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass a wide array of patients, including both youth and adults who are experiencing various psychological challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance misuse. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a diverse clientele, understanding that each individual requires a tailored approach to their mental health care.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, is essential for this role.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards as they pertain to counseling practice.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients effectively.
• Evidence of teamwork and collaboration within a healthcare environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software and related technologies to enhance patient care and documentation process.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as trauma, family therapy, couples therapy, or substance misuse is highly preferred.
• A background in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated care plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and client caseload.
