Work Environment

Your work will primarily take place in a remote setting, giving you the opportunity to manage your schedule while meeting the needs of our patients. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you may occasionally be required to take evening shifts or adjust your schedule to accommodate patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate individual patient needs and craft tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy in one-on-one and group settings.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to address various emotional and psychological concerns, enhance coping skills, and promote personal development.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and healthcare providers to offer integrated care, ensuring comprehensive treatment for each patient.
• Contribute to crisis intervention strategies and provide immediate support in mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methodologies, and available community resources to foster understanding and engagement in care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in team meetings, case conferences, and seeking ongoing training and education.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices relevant to mental health therapy.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.
• Strong foundational knowledge of various mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities, including trauma-informed approaches.
• Exceptional assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to create comprehensive treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Proven experience in conducting individual and group therapy sessions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals.
• Comprehensive understanding and proficiency with EHR systems for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing a strong background in mental health therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and crisis interventions with calmness and professionalism.

Compensation and Benefits
