iMatter Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Telehealth Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team. In this full-time remote role, you will provide individualized mental health counseling to adults with stable, low-acuity concerns, using online platforms to make mental health care accessible and convenient. This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, depending on hours worked, along with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Work Environment

• Fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
• Flexible scheduling with the option to work more than 30 hours per week for full-time or over 5 hours per week for part-time options.
• The role primarily involves conducting counseling sessions via video chat, making mental health care accessible regardless of geographic barriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ethical and compassionate mental health counseling to clients through a secure video platform, ensuring a safe space for open communication.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' mental health and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that focus on their individual goals and challenges.
• Help clients cultivate coping mechanisms, problem-solving strategies, and improved communication skills that empower them to manage their mental health proactively.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to inform therapy techniques, continuously adapting these methods to meet the varied needs of each client.
• Actively document client interactions and treatment progress, while ensuring minimal paperwork to focus more on client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on stable, low-acuity adults looking for support. These clients may reach out for help with issues such as anxiety, mild depression, relationship challenges, or stress management. You will leverage your sensitivity and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust, which are essential in telehealth settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Current, independent state licensure as one of the following: LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C, or PsyD.
• Experience providing mental health counseling with no disciplinary actions on your license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a successful track record of fostering therapeutic relationships in a virtual environment.
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and basic computer literacy, alongside a reliable internet connection for smooth counseling sessions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a remote counseling role is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with diverse adult populations, and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
• A background in using technology effectively in patient interactions or for treatment management.
