Work Environment

This position is designed to accommodate a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to connect with clients in a comfortable and supportive environment. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Our community health clinic is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate telehealth consultations, ensuring that you can effectively support clients from home while maintaining the quality of care that we pride ourselves on.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' unique mental health needs, creating individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals and concerns.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups, employing various approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to address a wide range of mental health issues.
• Collaborate closely with fellow healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients, which may include referrals to external resources when necessary.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and provide immediate support for clients in acute distress, demonstrating your expertise and compassion during challenging situations.
• Engage actively in community outreach initiatives, facilitating educational workshops to raise awareness about mental health and advocating for the destigmatization of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our community health center serves a diverse array of clients, encompassing various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. Many of our clients face complex mental health challenges, which may include anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. The therapist in this role will have the unique opportunity to work with a population that seeks empowerment and healing through accessible mental health services.

Qualifications

• A current and valid independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
• Cultural competence and experience working effectively with clients from different ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in maintaining accurate, timely documentation of client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community mental health setting or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices, as well as familiarity with the specific needs of marginalized populations.
• Experience with telehealth methodologies or teletherapy is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and credentials. In addition to a robust salary, our compensation package includes:
