Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct culturally sensitive, strengths-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and circumstances.
  • Provide individualized and family therapy using evidence-based practices tailored to the specific needs identified during assessments.
  • Manage all necessary documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorizations, while adhering to strict timelines.
  • Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans that empower patients to maintain stability in their lives.
  • Create actionable discharge plans that facilitate ongoing support post-treatment.
  • Comply with all federal and state laws and regulations while upholding NEHS policies and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by attending training sessions and meeting licensure requirements.
  • Participate in case consultations and agency meetings to foster collaboration and enhance team effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient population, ranging from children to adults, who present with various mental health challenges. You will work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns, emphasizing a holistic and strengths-based therapeutic approach. A commitment to understanding patients' cultural backgrounds and life experiences is essential for effective treatment delivery.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensure.
  • Current licensure as a mental health therapist in the State of Maryland (e.g., LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a community health or mental health setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques, particularly those tailored to multicultural populations.
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency in handling billing and insurance processes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with your licensure, experience, and qualifications.
