Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed mental health assessments to accurately identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment strategies.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups to foster community and provide resources for clients dealing with common mental health challenges.
  • Work in collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.
  • Offer crisis intervention services when patients are in acute distress and support them through mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients about mental health disorders and their treatment options while connecting them with local community resources.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records of patient care in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to enhance therapeutic skills.
  • Stay informed about current research and advancements in mental health therapy to ensure cutting-edge practices are used in treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in Maryland.
  • Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience in conducting thorough mental health assessments and creating effective treatment plans.
  • Effective delivery of individual and group therapy to diverse populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Sound professional judgment with an understanding of ethical boundaries.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Clinical experience in community health settings, particularly with underserved populations.
  • Experience facilitating group therapy or psychoeducational workshops.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy practices and technology.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications.
