Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Greater City Family Counseling, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and diagnosing patients when necessary, utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and other clinical tools to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Creating and implementing comprehensive treatment strategies that factor in the cultural diversity and special needs of our patient population, continually evaluating their effectiveness.
• Maintaining precise treatment records and clinical information using advanced digital technology in adherence to regulatory standards and department protocols.
• Collaborating with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams to establish actionable treatment objectives based on the patient's goals and needs.
• Providing education and mentoring for students and interns, contributing to the development of future mental health professionals.
• Engaging with external treatment providers and referral organizations to streamline care access and options for patients.
• Contributing to peer reviews and quality assurance activities under the supervision of clinical leadership, ensuring that team members have the support and resources necessary for their professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your practice will be individuals and families facing the complex emotional ramifications of a cancer diagnosis. This requires a strong understanding of cancer-related mental health issues, the ability to provide empathetic support, and the identification of strategies to facilitate resilience and recovery. You will work closely with a diverse patient demographic, necessitating culturally responsive approaches to care that resonate with their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in outpatient mental health settings, especially those with specialized training in oncology psychosocial support, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or other evidence-based practices relevant to this population. Advanced knowledge of telehealth practices and digital therapy platforms is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year commensurate with experience, along with a generous benefits package that includes:
