Mechanical Engineer

• Design and develop electro-mechanical and/or material handling systems using components such as actuators, motors, and conveyors in accordance with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Create and modify concept drawings, detailed design, assembly and fabrication drawings, BOMs, O&M manuals, and other related design documentation.
• Generate 2D and 3D designs using industry-standard CAD software.
• Interact with the sales team, assisting with system proposals and scope review (concept drawings, costing, etc.).
• Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, software, controls, etc.) to review, define, and design integrated system solutions that meet the requirements of customers.
• Design mechanical systems and write design specifications for the purchase of equipment.
• Produce design calculations to verify designs.
• Travel to customer sites to participate in concept and technical discussions, kickoff meetings, installation oversight, or troubleshooting.
• Potential travel to other company facilities and customer sites domestically and internationally to collaborate with teams on current or future projects, as required.

Essential Skills

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of electro-mechanical and/or mechanical systems design experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools.
• Prior experience in a quality-controlled design environment (ISO 9000 or similar).
• Working knowledge of control systems (e.g., pneumatic, electrical, or motion control).
• Experience sizing motors/actuators for moving heavy loads.
• Familiarity with standard motor, gearbox, and motion control components.
• Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Proficient in standard office productivity software.
