Senior Director, or Director, Product Marketing

A high-visibility opportunity for a hands-on (roll up your sleeves, get the job done) product marketer who wants to build the function, shape go-to-market strategy and work directly with a seasoned cybersecurity leadership team.

A venture-backed cybersecurity company is hiring a Director or Senior Director of Product Marketing to serve as its founding product marketing leader.

The company operates at the intersection of cybersecurity, digital forensics and AI, helping enterprises authenticate digital media and protect against deepfake fraud, identity manipulation and emerging impersonation threats. Its platform is commercially available, it has begun winning major enterprise customers, and it is investing in its go-to-market organization.

This person will work closely with the CEO, CRO and executive team to:

• Establish the product marketing function, priorities and processes
• Develop positioning and messaging for the company’s products, platform and services
• Translate complex technology into a clear, relevant go-to-market story
• Define priority buyers, use cases, pain points and value propositions
• Connect deepfake detection with the broader identity-security market
• Partner with Product on strategy, launches, market requirements and customer feedback
• Give Sales practical messaging, competitive guidance and enablement tools
• Help determine which markets, buyers and use cases the company should prioritize

The role also offers exposure to an Executive Advisory Board made up of recognized cybersecurity leaders and current and former CISOs from major global organizations.

This is initially an individual-contributor role, potentially with one additional team member. It is not for someone primarily pursuing an immediate CMO, Head of Marketing or VP title. It is for someone who wants direct access to experienced executives, ownership of the work and the opportunity to grow in level and scope as the company develops.

Cybersecurity product marketing experience is required. Experience in identity security, identity verification, authentication, fraud prevention, KYC, deepfake detection or AI-enabled cybersecurity would be particularly relevant.

The role is remote within the United States. Eastern or Central time zones are preferred, with additional opportunities for in-person collaboration for someone based near Boston.

Anticipated base salary: $180,000–$230,000, depending on experience and whether the candidate joins at the Director or Senior Director level. The package also includes a 10%–20% annual performance bonus, equity and benefits.
