CSP is exclusively partnering with a growing company in the construction industry on a search for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function and serve as a key partner to leadership and employees. This is a broad HR leadership role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with managers, and having an impact across the full employee lifecycle. This role is fully on-site Monday-Friday in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee HR initiatives across the full employee lifecycle
  • Partner with leadership and managers on employee relations, performance management, change management and workplace matters
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on HR policies, practices, and employee issues
  • Oversee recruiting and hiring initiatives, partnering with department leaders to identify and attract talent
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Oversee HR operations, HRIS administration, employee records, reporting, and data integrity
  • Monitor HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities around retention, engagement, absenteeism, and workforce planning
  • Support performance management, employee development, and organizational initiatives
  • Lead and support HR team members while driving process improvements and greater efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted and confidential resource for employees and leadership

Ideal background:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong generalist background xevrcyc with experience across employee relations, compliance, recruiting, change management, and HR operations
  • Experience partnering with managers and senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of employment practices and HR best practices
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting/analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
