We are seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Virginia, commencing Nov 23, 2026. This role involves working 8a-8p shifts, providing comprehensive urgent care services. The successful candidate will manage a diverse patient load, performing critical duties such as laceration repair, minor injury stabilization, foreign body removal, various diagnostic interpretations, and essential airway support, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Laceration Repair: Simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
• Incision and drainage (I&D): including packing
• Foreign Body Removal
• Minor Burn Management
• Skin Lesion Care
• Orthopedic & Injury Stabilization
• Splinting & Casting
• Joint Reduction
• Diagnostic & Point-of-Care Testing
• X-Ray Interpretation
• Electrocardiogram (EKG): Evaluation
• Point-of-Care Lab Interpretation: Reviewing rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing
• Epistaxis Management: Anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate) for nosebleeds
• Cerumen impaction removal
• Airway Support: Administration of nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Urgent Care required
• EMR: Epic
• Daily shifts from 8a-8p
