Mechanical Engineer

Twinco Mfg. Co., Inc., a leading manufacturer of railroad signal equipment, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the expansion of its product lines. In this role, you will design, analyze, and document mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD tools like Creo. You will contribute to developing innovative products by ensuring their functionality, safety, and efficiency, working closely with manufacturing and quality departments within a small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical designs, including schematics and drafting documentation using Creo
• Conduct mechanical analysis with FEA tools to assess stress, thermal performance, and structural integrity
• Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or performance issues and implement corrective actions
• Ensure designs comply with ASME codes and industry standards throughout design, manufacturing, and testing
• Apply GD&T principles for accurate mechanical drawings and quality control
• Collaborate directly with manufacturing and quality teams to support production and testing processes
• Manage ERP/MRP data entry to support product lifecycle and manufacturing workflows

Required Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degrees or certifications a plus
• Minimum 3 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience
• Proven mechanical design experience using CAD tools, specifically Creo
• Familiarity with FEA software for structural analysis
• Experience with ERP/MRP system entries
• Ability to pass pre-employment background, criminal, and drug screenings

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical engineering roles
• Knowledge of GD&T principles and application
• Experience with mechanical product documentation and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with ASME standards and manufacturing processes
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW and electrical schematics
