Mission of the Director of Marketing
The Director of Marketing supports the Vice President of Business Development in planning and executing Swamp Fox Agency's marketing efforts. This role manages the day-to-day marketing function, oversees the Marketing Assistant, maintains a consistent and professional brand, and coordinates campaigns that support agency growth, client retention, producer success, and carrier relationships.
Key Responsibilities of This Role
a. Assist the Vice President of Business Development in developing the annual marketing plan and translate approved priorities into clear campaigns, timelines, and assignments.
b. Supervise, support, and develop the Marketing Assistant; assign priorities, review work, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
c. Collaborate with producers, account managers, carrier partners, and agency leadership to identify marketing needs and support business development initiatives.
d. Track marketing activity and performance, prepare regular reports, and provide recommendations to the Vice President of Business Development.
e. Coordinate marketing expenses, vendors, sponsorships, and resources within the budget and priorities approved by the Vice President of Business Development and executive leadership.
a. Maintain brand consistency and a professional agency presence across digital, print, social media, events, advertising, and community outreach.
b. Review marketing materials and campaigns for accuracy, quality, and alignment with agency standards before submitting major initiatives for final approval.
c. Represent the agency at selected community, networking, carrier, and client events and coordinate the agency's participation and promotional materials.
d. Develop clear, client-friendly content that communicates the agency's services, coverage expertise, carrier relationships, and value to clients and prospects.
a. Execute marketing campaigns that support new business growth, client education, retention, and cross-selling across personal and commercial lines.
b. Coordinate client communication strategies such as welcome campaigns, renewal touchpoints, claims education, seasonal messaging, and milestone communications.
c. Manage cross-selling, referral, re-quote, and lost-client win-back campaigns in partnership with sales and service teams.
d. Support community partnerships, educational programs, and agency events that strengthen brand awareness and client relationships.
a. Create and coordinate marketing materials, campaigns, and communication tools that help producers nurture prospects and improve closing opportunities.
b. Use lead-source, campaign, and client data to help identify target audiences and recommend opportunities to the Vice President of Business Development.
a. Execute campaigns for target markets that align with agency strengths, carrier appetite, and business development priorities.
b. Manage and improve the agency's digital presence through website content, social media, email, blogs, video, online advertising, and search engine optimization.
c. Coordinate networking events, sponsorships, referral initiatives, and community outreach to expand agency visibility and generate qualified leads.

Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development and provides day-to-day supervision and direction to the Marketing Assistant.
