About the Opportunity
Career Strategies is partnering with an established national real estate organization seeking an experienced HR Manager to support its multi-state, multi-site property operations.
This position will serve as a key HR partner to corporate and property-level teams, with responsibility for employee relations, training and onboarding, payroll, benefits, leave administration, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary HR resource for corporate and property-level employees across multiple states
- Manage employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Lead and support training, onboarding, and offboarding across multiple locations
- Effectively communicate and provide HR support to both English- and Spanish-speaking employees
- Oversee multi-state payroll processes for salaried and hourly employees
- Manage benefits and leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and wage/hour laws
- Partner with Operations and Finance on headcount planning, payroll forecasting, and workforce reporting
- Coordinate with third-party payroll providers on audits, reconciliations, and issue resolution
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- HR experience within the Property Management industry
- Experience supporting a multi-site, property-level workforce
- Proven multi-state and multi-site HR experience
- Strong training and onboarding experience across multiple locations
- Hands-on employee relations and employee management at the property level
- 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience
- Direct experience with multi-state payroll and labor compliance
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, and state wage and employment laws
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
Multifamily Property Management experience is strongly preferred. Commercial Property Management or Senior Living backgrounds may be considered for candidates with highly transferable property-level HR experience.
Compensation
$135,000–$165,000, depending on experience.
