Job Description
Job Description
Part-Time Social Media & Brand Coordinator
Mid America Motorworks

About the Role

Mid America Motorworks, a family-owned specialty automotive parts business serving Corvette and classic VW enthusiasts since 1974, is looking for a part-time Social Media & Brand Coordinator to grow our digital presence, drive email/SMS marketing performance, maintain brand consistency, and support our enthusiast community.

Schedule: Part-time, hybrid — two days in-office, one half-day remote (weekend/evening flexibility needed for club events and shows).

Responsibilities

Social Media Management — Plan, curate, and monitor content across Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube. Engage with followers/customers, shoot and edit original video content, and coordinate a weekly posting schedule.

Content Calendar Ownership — Build and maintain a seasonal content calendar, aligning posts with promotions, product launches, inventory timing, and the natural seasonality of the Corvette and VW markets (e.g. show season, holiday sales, winter storage/prep content).

Email & SMS Marketing (Klaviyo) — Own or co-own Klaviyo campaign creation, flow building (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back), list segmentation, and A/B testing. Coordinate the email/SMS calendar alongside the social calendar so messaging is unified across channels. Track open/click/conversion performance and iterate based on results — this is a growth priority for the business.

Brand & Influencer Collaboration — Identify and build relationships with relevant automotive influencers/content creators (Corvette and VW space); coordinate collaborations, gifting, or paid partnerships that align with brand guidelines; track performance/ROI of influencer content.

Club & Event Outreach — Proactively reach out to enthusiast clubs and event organizers to coordinate MAM attendance at shows and gatherings; serve as the primary point of contact and relationship-builder with clubs.

Event Promotion & Communication — Get event/attendance information posted across social channels and communicated internally and externally ahead of time.

Third-Party Website Oversight — Monitor, post, and source content for third-party/partner websites to maximize brand visibility and reach.

Design & Brand Compliance — Use Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to produce on-brand graphics; apply and help enforce our brand book (visuals, tone, logo usage) across internal and external communications, including in influencer partnerships.

Customer Engagement & Issue Response — Monitor and respond to comments/messages; follow a defined protocol for handling public complaints or negative feedback, escalating to a manager when needed since this role often operates without direct oversight in the moment.

Analytics & Reporting — Track performance via Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Klaviyo dashboards; interpret data and recommend content/strategy adjustments on a regular reporting cadence.

Digital Banner Management — Maintain and update digital banners on internal and external sites, aligned with seasonal promotions and product specials.

Print & Traditional Media — Design and maintain print magazine ads; assist in writing and pitching editorial pieces to enthusiast magazines and other traditional media outlets, ensuring consistency with brand voice and visual identity.

Qualifications

• Experience managing brand social accounts (portfolio/examples requested)

Klaviyo experience strongly preferred — flow building, segmentation, campaign performance analysis; this channel is a key growth focus

• Shopify experience a strong plus (understanding product/inventory sync with email and social)

• Ability to shoot and edit video (phone or camera acceptable; editing in CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar)

• Working knowledge of Adobe (Photoshop/Illustrator) or Canva

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Meta Business Suite

• Experience with influencer outreach, negotiation, or partnership coordination a plus

• Strong written communication skills; copywriting experience a plus

• Comfortable with outreach/relationship-building (phone, email) to clubs, event organizers, and content creators

• Sound judgment for customer-facing situations, including de-escalation and knowing when to loop in a manager

• Understanding of seasonal sales cycles a plus

• Automotive interest a plus, especially Corvette or air-cooled VW culture

• Reliable transportation for occasional local event attendance
