SCOPE OF WORK

A.1Position: Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO)

A.2Duties and Responsibilities:

The SSHO shall have overall responsibility for safety. They will also be responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the Contractor’s Safety & Health Program in accordance with the accepted APP. The SSHO shall meet the requirements of EM385-1-1.

Minimum Requirements:

• Five years of construction industry safety experience or three years if they possess a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree.
• Shall have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or as an equivalent, 30 hours of formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30-hour course.
• Certifications: OSHA-10, OSHA-30. First Aid.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
• Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
• Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
• Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
