Position Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our team in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building mechanical systems and HVAC design, with experience developing engineering plans and construction documents for commercial, healthcare, education, residential, or mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC and mechanical systems for building projects.
  • Perform heating and cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
  • Develop mechanical plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Design ductwork, piping, and other HVAC systems.
  • Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for mechanical design and documentation.
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, electrical, plumbing, and structural disciplines.
  • Assist with site visits, field surveys, and construction administration.
  • Review project requirements and applicable building codes.
Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of mechanical engineering/design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • EIT preferred but not required.
  • PE license is a plus.
  • Strong HVAC design experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and mechanical standards.
  • Strong communication and project coordination skills.
