The Medical Assistant supports physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff by assisting with both administrative and clinical tasks. This role helps ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and a positive experience for patients and their families.

• Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and organized
• Greet patients and assist with rooming, intake, and vital signs
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support providers with routine clinical procedures as directed
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, and follow-up coordination as needed
• Collect specimens and perform basic in-office tests according to training and protocol
• Maintain clean, safe, and efficient clinical workspaces
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members
• Follow established policies, procedures, and infection control standards
• Provide flexible coverage based on departmental and patient care needs

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant may be required or preferred, depending on role requirements
• Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or outpatient setting is preferred
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities

• Experience with electronic health records and medical office systems
• Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with clinical workflow, patient education, and administrative support tasks
