The Medical Assistant (MA) in the Interventional Radiology (IR) clinic supports physicians, nurses, and patients in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinc setting. Full-time or part-time considered.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties- Prepare patients for the provider, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
- Set up rooms, ensuring proper equipment, supplies, and cleanliness
- Complete all charting requirements
- Maintain infection control and safety standards
- Perform follow-up calls and documentation as needed
QualificationsRequired · Current certification or education in medical assisting; experience also considered.
· Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, hospital, or related healthcare setting.
· Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
· Experience using electronic medical records and managing clinical communications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer applications
Physical Requirements · Ability to lift and assist patients (up to ~50 lbs with assistance)
· Manual dexterity for clinical tasks
· Ability to stand for extended periods
· Frequent standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility
· Exposure to medical equipment, bodily fluids, and stressful situations
