Title: Certified / Registered Medical Assistant
Location: Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Benefits: This position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401(k).
About the Opportunity:
Addison Group is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for a direct hire opportunity with a highly reputable specialty practice. This role is patient‑facing, offers variety, and provides exposure across multiple providers and clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients and assist providers during clinic visits
- Support in-office procedures and clinical workflows
- Relay lab results and respond to patient questions via phone
- Update patient charts, manage documentation, and organize referrals
- Perform prior authorizations as needed
- Float between providers and offer coverage where needed
- Assist with special projects assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- Active CMA or RMA credential required
- At least 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant required
- Experience handling patient phone calls required
- Ability to explain procedures, injections, and clinical instructions clearly required
- Experience working in a specialty practice preferred
- Familiarity with NextGen EMR preferred
