Join a busy Anchorage medical practice where you'll support providers through every stage of the patient visit. From rooming patients and assisting with procedures to patient education and coordinating care, you'll play an important role in helping patients receive timely, attentive, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
- Room patients by escorting them to exam rooms and obtaining a full set of vital signs, including height and weight
- Prepare patient charts by gathering medical records, laboratory results, imaging, and other documentation for providers
- Process patient phone calls and messages, prioritizing requests and documenting information accurately
- Schedule appointments and medical procedures while assisting with or chaperoning procedures as needed
- Educate patients regarding medications, self-care, wellness, and treatment plans as directed by the provider
- Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms while ensuring supplies are current and readily available
- Communicate professionally with pharmacies, insurance companies, outside providers, and other clinical staff
- Collaborate with providers and team members to support patient flow, scheduling, and quality patient care
- Maintain OSHA, HIPAA compliance, and clinic safety standards while keeping a clean and organized work environment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- At least one year of medical office experience, including one year in a clinical setting, preferably in a medical practice. Three to five years of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical protocols, and patient confidentiality standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHR Intergy, and other medical office software
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities while providing compassionate, patient-focused care
- Background screening is part of the hiring process
- Must support a drug-free work environment
