<p>We are seeking an experienced CDL-A Company Driver for a local driving position based in Romulus, MI. Drivers will operate automatic 2024 International tractors and straight trucks, delivering a variety of freight throughout Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Metro Detroit.</p><p>Pay: $30/hour<br />Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM<br />Weekends: No<br />Overtime: Available<br />Average Mileage: Approximately 200 miles per day<br />Equipment: 2024 International tractors and straight trucks<br />Transmission: Automatic<br />Touch Freight: Approximately 60%<br />Driver Helpers: Approximately twice per week</p><h3>Duties</h3><p>Safely operate CDL-A tractors and straight trucks on local routes.<br />Complete approximately 200 miles per day throughout Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Metro Detroit.<br />Make fewer than 5 stops per day when operating a tractor and 10+ stops when operating a straight truck.<br />Load and unload freight as required.<br />Handle touch freight approximately 60% of the time.<br />Safely lift and handle freight weighing up to 75 lbs.<br />Transport primarily palletized freight.<br />Complete deliveries to commercial and residential customers, stores, warehouses, yards, and airports.<br />Work with a driver helper approximately twice per week.<br />Follow DOT regulations, company policies, and all applicable safety procedures.<br />Maintain professional communication and provide dependable customer service.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Valid CDL Class A license.<br />Ability to safely operate tractors and straight trucks.<br />Ability to lift and handle up to 75 lbs.<br />Comfortable performing loading, unloading, and other physical freight-handling duties.<br />Must be able to obtain or maintain the required airport clearance for airport deliveries.<br />Ability to work Monday–Friday from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.<br />Willingness to work overtime when available.<br />Ability to safely complete local routes throughout the Metro Detroit, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids areas.<br />Must successfully complete the required interview and road test</p><h3>Benefits</h3><p>$30 per hour<br />Overtime opportunities available<br />Monday–Friday schedule<br />No weekend work<br />Day shift: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM<br />Local routes – approximately 200 miles per day<br />Automatic equipment<br />2024 International tractors<br />Driver helpers provided approximately twice per week<br />Consistent local delivery routes<br />Home daily<br />Variety of delivery locations throughout Metro Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo<br />Opportunity to operate both tractors and straight trucks</p>PandoLogic.
