Owner's Engineer

Seeking an Owner's Engineer so support substation projects across the U.S. power industry. This role involves providing technical oversight and engineering representation to ensure substation designs meet all applicable standards, project requirements, and are suitable for successful construction.

The position is primarily remote, with optional office access for candidates located near a regional office.

• Provide technical oversight and engineering review of power substation designs to ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and constructability.
• Support projects spanning 34.5 kV to 500 kV substations from early concept through final design and energization.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coordinate across design disciplines including Protection & Control, Civil/Structural, and Physical design.
• Review engineering deliverables prepared by design teams and provide guidance where needed.
• Interface with client representatives to help ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and performance expectations.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and engineering best practices.

• BSEE or BSME from an ABET-accredited university (required).
• 6–14 years of experience in power utility or substation engineering.
• Strong experience with substation design and engineering standards within the U.S. power industry.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
