Certified Medical Assistant – Monday through Friday Daylight Shift!

(On-site, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 - Oakland)

  • Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)
  • Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15213 (Oakland)
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday – Friday daylight hours; no weekends or holidays required)
  • New Hire Starting Base Pay: $19.40 – $22.09 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct clinical medical assistant, phlebotomy, or infusion care experience.)
  • Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $30.14 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and clinical career ladder advancement.
Mandatory Qualifications

  • Education & Certification: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Requirements: Successful completion of medical assistant program.
  • Experience & Skills: Prior experience performing clinical MA duties (phlebotomy, injections, vitals, rooming) preferred. Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Clinical & Technical Competencies: Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment room procedures, infection control protocols, autoclaving/sterilization, and level-one laboratory functions.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to guide patient flow, relay provider instructions, answer patient calls, and handle clinical inquiries.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Clinical Procedures & Patient Care: Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician direction, perform phlebotomy, execute EKGs, collect specimens, and assist providers with clinical procedures.
  • Patient Intake & Flow Management: Welcome patients, take vital signs, record medical histories/screenings, accompany patients to exam rooms, and provide instructions to patients and families.
  • Room Preparation & Infection Control: Prepare procedure rooms, set up sterile instruments, clean and disinfect rooms/equipment between patient visits, maintain infection control logs, and restock supply inventory.
  • Chart Management & Front Office Support: Document clinical information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR), obtain lab/x-ray reports, verify insurance coverage, schedule follow-up visits, and process medical records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
