Job Title: Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets

Job Type: Contract-to-Direct Hire

Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a strong focus on Fixed Assets to join our team. This is a contract-to-direct hire opportunity offering full-time hours. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing fixed asset processes and a solid foundation in accounting principles.

• Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger.
• Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and close out accounts once projects are completed.
• Monitor, record, and review fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) related to fixed assets.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, focusing on fixed asset-related entries.
• Prepare and support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, finance) to track capital projects and budgets.
• Recommend and implement process improvements related to fixed asset accounting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on fixed asset accounting (required).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset modules.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
