Make a real impact supporting students from Pre-K through transition ages in an itinerant role providing vision-related services across multiple school sites. As a leader in vision services, you will play an essential part not only in direct instruction but also as a mentor, coach, and advocate for both new and returning staff. This full-time contract runs from August 27, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with flexibility for those interested in part-time arrangements. The schedule averages 37.5 hours per week, offering structured daily routines while allowing for meaningful, community-wide engagement.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with endorsement for teaching students with visual impairments
• Master’s Degree required
• Minimum of five years of school-based experience supporting visually impaired students
• Must complete fingerprinting before the start date

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ranging from Pre-K through transitional ages
• Work itinerantly, traveling between multiple schools within the district
• Mentor, coach, and guide staff within the Vision Related Services Department, fostering progressive best practices
• Assist in developing resources and provide advocacy for both students and colleagues
• Facilitate training and problem-solving activities for staff to continually improve service quality
