Holiday Lighting Installer / Exterior Cleaning Technician
Sparkle Squad of Southeast Charlotte
Training pay: $18–$22 per hour, depending on relevant experience
Sparkle Squad of Southeast Charlotte is hiring a dependable, safety-minded technician with real ladder experience. Our immediate focus is installing professional holiday lighting on homes and businesses, including rooflines, gutters, wreaths, trees, shrubs, and other exterior features.
This is not just a seasonal decorating job. Holiday lighting is the initial focus, but the position also includes year-round exterior cleaning services such as window and screen cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and soft washing.
We will train you on our lighting systems, equipment, and service standards. However, you should already be comfortable setting, climbing, and working from ladders outdoors.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Safely set up, climb, move, and work from ladders at residential and commercial properties
• Install, troubleshoot, service, and remove professional holiday lighting and décor
• Complete window cleaning, screen cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and soft washing
• Load, unload, inspect, and care for company tools and equipment
• Protect customers' homes, landscaping, and property while working
• Communicate professionally with customers and teammates
• Follow safety procedures and deliver consistently high-quality work
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Previous professional ladder experience is required
• Experience in holiday lighting, roofing, gutters, construction, painting, solar, cable, exterior cleaning, or a similar field is strongly preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height for much of the day
• Able to safely lift, carry, and position ladders and equipment
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive company vehicles under our commercial auto policy
• Reliable transportation to work
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work well with a crew
• Willing to work a variable schedule based on workload, weather, and seasonality, including occasional early starts, longer days, or Saturdays during peak periods
• Able to pass applicable background and motor-vehicle-record checks
PAY AND OPPORTUNITY
• $18–$22 per hour during training, based on relevant ladder, construction, exterior-service, or holiday-lighting experience
• Performance-based compensation after training, with additional earning opportunities as your efficiency, skills, and responsibility grow
• Weekly pay
• Tips, sales commissions, and performance incentives when applicable
• Paid holidays for eligible full-time employees
• Opportunity to grow into a lead technician or crew-leader role
This is a full-time opportunity, but hours are production-based and can vary with workload, weather, scheduling needs, and seasonality. A fixed 40-hour week is not guaranteed.
