The Role

As a Shine Medical Assistant, you’re more than a clinical support staff member — you’re a smile-maker, a calm-in-the-storm, and a key part of our care team. You’ll greet patients like family, keep our clinical engine running smoothly, and bring a warm, kid-friendly energy to every interaction.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare patients for exams & labs with a caring, confident approach
• Take vitals & document in our EMR system
• Perform blood draws, urine collections, and specialty testing
• Administer vaccines with skill and a gentle touch
• Answer patient messages & calls related to back-office care
• Keep exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready for the next superstar patient
• Perform EKGs
• Educate parents about Shine’s philosophy & guide them through care steps
• THIS ROLE WILL CROSS TRAIN IN THE FRONT OFFICE

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CMA or RMA certification
• Solid experience as a Medical Assistant, including phlebotomy & injections
• Strong multitasking skills & a customer service mindset
• Clear, professional communication — verbal & written
• Comfort with high message volume & busy days
• Love for pediatrics (experience in pediatric care highly preferred)
• Bonus points for:
• Pediatric phlebotomy experience
• NextGen (HealthFusion) knowledge
• Klara or other patient messaging platforms experience
• Near Pefect Attendance and Punctuality

Perks & Details

• Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:45am- 5:00pm-
• Pay: $17.00 – $19.50/hour (based on experience)
