This role owns EFT media production end to end. You are the shooter and the editor: you film with our on-camera talent in Charleston 2-3 days per week, and you edit everything you film. No handoffs, no waiting on someone else’s timeline. The footage you capture on Tuesday is the content EFT publishes that week and the creative behind the ads we run next month.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Run EFT’s filming days. Plan and lead 2-3 shoot days per week on site with EFT’s founders and coaches: build the shot list, coordinate the location, direct the shoot, and make efficient use of on-camera time.
• Edit everything you film. Turn your footage into ready-to-post content: roughly 10 short-form pieces per week (Reels, Shorts, TikTok) plus long-form video for YouTube. Ready-to-post means edited, captioned, sized for the platform, and loaded for publishing.
• Build all EFT paid media creative. Every ad EFT runs uses creative you produce: statics, video ads, carousels, and the variation sets needed for testing, delivered ad-ready on the campaign’s deadline. You do not place ads or manage campaigns; you make sure creative is never the bottleneck.
• Bring ideas, not just execution. Arrive at the Friday media planning meeting with 3-5 content ideas already added to the shot-list planning documents, ready to talk through.
• Own the footage pipeline. Same-day backup of every card, an organized library, and all footage uploaded and ready for your editing workflow.
HOW WE MEASURE THIS ROLE
• Output: ready-to-post pieces delivered each week against target.
• Filming consistency: 2-3 productive shoot days per week, planned and directed by you.
• Paid media on-time rate: ad-ready assets delivered by the campaign deadline, every time.
• Ideas contributed: 3-5 ideas in the planning documents before every Friday meeting.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• A proven shooter-editor. You have shot and cut real content. This is a portfolio-first hire.
• Strong camera, audio, and lighting fundamentals in imperfect conditions: gyms, mat rooms, outdoor training environments, not studios.
• Fast, consistent editing. We are agnostic about your software as long as you deliver on speed and quality.
• Platform fluency: you know what drives watch time and retention on Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and YouTube, and you cut accordingly.
• Self-directed. You run your own shoot days, manage your own pipeline, and hit weekly output without someone standing over you.
• At home in our world. You can engage authentically with fitness, tactical, law enforcement, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu-adjacent communities and represent the brand well in the room.
• Based in the Charleston, SC area, or ready to relocate.
NICE TO HAVE
• Photography and stills work, including building photo carousels from shoots and screencaps.
• Motion graphics, captioning systems, and thumbnail design.
• Comfort reading performance data and letting it shape how you shoot and cut.
• A training background of your own: lifting, martial arts, military or first-responder service.
