Accounting Technician

An employer is looking for an experienced Accounting Technician to assist with processing payroll and financial records to help cover another employee's FMLA. Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinates with the Payroll Accountant to perform payroll administration duties including processing records for payroll and benefits, transmitting direct deposit files, processing deferred compensation records, retirement, taxes, benefits and other payroll deductions, transferring reports to Federal and State agencies, updating payroll system.
• Performs bank reconciliations; reviews, researches, and resolves inconsistencies.
• Makes cash and check deposits to the Agencys accounts.
• Offers customer support to employees regarding payroll.
• Serves as the expert on Travel Policy; reviews travel requests to ensure compliance with Agencys policy.

Provides back up to other areas such as Accounts Payable, Tenant Accounting, Cash Receipts, and Travel Arrangements; may perform other related duties as assigned.
