Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
Job Type: Contract – 31 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
Hours: 40 hours/week
Candidates: Local and Traveler Candidates Accepted
Work Setting: Onsite
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Schedule- Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA) to provide both front-office and back-office clinical support in a healthcare setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, documentation, scheduling, and other administrative and clinical activities.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, EMR experience, and the ability to provide professional and compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Support both front-office and back-office clinical operations.
- Greet, check in, and room patients.
- Obtain, record, and document patient vital signs.
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
- Administer vaccines according to established protocols.
- Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with related administrative duties.
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
- Maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation in the EMR.
- Provide additional clinical support to healthcare providers and staff as needed.
- Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with center staff and healthcare team members.
- Support health education and patient outreach activities.
- Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail while providing patient care.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, in addition to an externship.
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with phlebotomy and venipuncture.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
