Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant for podiatry at Cactus Foot and Ankle supports clinical care by preparing patients, assisting providers during examinations and procedures, and maintaining an organized, patient-focused environment. You will help ensure smooth daily operations and timely support for the podiatry team.

Success in this role means delivering compassionate, reliable assistance, maintaining accurate documentation, and following established clinical and safety standards—so patients receive consistent, high-quality care from check-in through follow-up.

• Greet patients, confirm information, and prepare patients for appointments.
• Assist podiatry providers during exams and procedures as directed.
• Take and record vital signs and other required clinical measurements.
• Prepare and restock exam rooms, instruments, and supplies to support efficient care.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in accordance with clinic procedures.
• Support the clinical team with patient intake tasks and basic administrative coordination.
• Assist with medication and treatment preparation as allowed by policy and training.
• Schedule and confirm follow-up appointments per provider instructions.
• Communicate clearly with patients and team members to ensure a positive experience.
• Handle patient inquiries professionally and escalate concerns to the appropriate staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent (or equivalent education/experience).
• Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (years not specified).
• Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient care support.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and routine documentation (software/tools not specified).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain confidentiality, and prioritize safety.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to support the podiatry team.

Compensation: $17 – $20 / hour

Hours: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
