Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Shifts between 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Starting Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour + (Based on experience)

Dean’s Professional Services is currently seeking a qualified Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician for a highly respected healthcare organization in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for professionals looking to grow within a clinical laboratory setting, with the potential for supervisory or lead responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct waived and moderate complexity testing accurately and efficiently

• Perform and submit proficiency testing

• Monitor quality control and implement corrective actions as needed

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers and laboratory equipment

• Maintain inventory and prepare routine technical reports

• Communicate effectively with providers and clinical staff regarding test results, including critical values

• Comply with OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, and Texas DSHS standards

• Support team workflows and contribute to a safe, compliant lab environment

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree (MLT) or Bachelor’s Degree (MT)

• Certification required: ASCP, AMT, HHS, or equivalent

• Minimum of 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred

• Experience with LIS and EMR systems is a plus

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results

Preferred Skills:

• Self-motivated and results-driven

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Effective at working both independently and collaboratively

• Proficient in typing, 10-key, and basic computer operations

• Flexible and open to growth opportunities within the lab
