COO - Global Head of Business Operations, MD - State Street Investment Management

As Global Head of Business Operations, you partner with the COO to govern the Office of the COO and orchestrate cross functional delivery across Finance Technology, governance, and strategic execution. You will lead a globally distributed team, aligning projects with SSIM priorities and delivering measurable business outcomes. You drive operating cadence, reporting, and transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and stakeholder engagement. This role offers influence across Investments, Institutional, and corporate functions to shape the organization's performance and growth.

• Partner with the COO to define strategic and operational objectives aligned with SSIM priorities and KPI targets
• Track performance, variances, dependencies, and implement corrective actions with the leadership team
• Foster cross functional relationships to advance strategic initiatives and process improvements
• Lead productivity metrics, business scorecards, and executive reporting in collaboration with COO leadership
• Manage the COO quarterly business review process and ensure timely follow up
• Represent the COO on regional/global committees and coordinate with Executive Assistants for timely actions
• Coordinate and manage COO level strategic projects and maintain an inventory of critical path initiatives
• Oversee annual COO strategic investment prioritization with Finance and leadership
• Drive transformation initiatives with Finance Technology, Data, and enterprise teams
• Define and govern Finance Technology roadmap, architecture, data strategy, and vendor relationships
• Ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards, security, data governance, and reporting obligations
• Provide portfolio visibility, decision support, and risk escalation to the IM Finance leadership team
• Develop communications materials and advocate for employee engagement and change management initiatives
• Lead change management and organizational transformation efforts within the COO context

• 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience spanning strategy, global program/portfolio execution, and people management
• Proven success leading cross functional, high performing teams in a complex global environment
• Significant experience leading technology, finance transformation or finance systems teams
• Experience transforming organizations to a product operating model with durable product teams and outcome based roadmaps
• Experience enabling agile delivery through multidisciplinary product teams and measurable outcomes
• Experience leading enterprise AI enabled transformation and adoption in business processes
• Investment management experience required; fund related tech experience preferred
• International experience preferred
• Undergraduate degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
