In this role you lead the western mining expansion for Stantec's Environmental Services, shaping growth across the Mountain Region. Responsibilities
  • Set and drive the vision for expanding mining business in the western United States
  • Support regional growth targets for the Mining Sector
  • Manage and expand multiple mining client accounts
  • Develop and maintain broad client relationships across the sector
  • Identify and lead BD opportunities aligned with strategic plan
  • Promote an integrated services approach across Stantec offerings
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to achieve performance targets
  • Support recruitment and retention of subject matter experts and account managers
  • Oversee permitting, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory coordination on mining projects
  • Provide QA/QC for final products to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and nurture project teams and mentor staff in technical practices and project management
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and local governments
  • Manage ecological and environmental studies and NEPA-related work
  • Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance across deliverables
  • Foster cross-line collaboration to deliver integrated projects
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety, ethics, diversity, and inclusive leadership
Key requirements
  • Strong PM and BD skills with experience managing mining client relationships
  • Client account and top-line management experience (> $5M annual revenue)
  • Deep understanding of the mining sector
  • Proven track record in environmental consulting with mining clients
  • Team leadership and collaborative project management abilities
  • Ability to travel and maintain safety compliance
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced degrees and professional registration preferred
