Overview

In this role you will support CMBS and structured finance transactions within the firm's finance group. You will collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop strategic approaches and manage complex transactions from inception to closing. You'll build relationships with clients, stay compliant with evolving regulations, and contribute to high-stakes litigation and deal work. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case and transaction strategy.
  • Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Assist and manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution, including closings and negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships with timely updates and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and business professionals to develop innovative strategies.
  • Attend and support high-level legal activities such as hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with evolving legal standards and precedents.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance legal knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Engage in firm citizenship, pro bono work, and community initiatives.
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to practice in the relevant state
  • At least 2 years of experience at a law firm
  • Experience or strong interest in commercial real estate finance, CMBS, structured finance, or securities offerings is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience at a large AmLaw 100 firm is preferred but not required
