In this Finance Associate role within DLA Piper's Venture & Growth subgroup, you will support lender-side commercial finance matters for technology, life sciences, and middle-market clients in multiple offices. You'll conduct legal research, draft key documents, and manage transactions from inception to close while building strong client relationships. The position emphasizes collaboration across teams, rigorous compliance, and ongoing professional development in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. You will contribute to high-stakes financing and strategic deals, helping drive the firm's growth and client outcomes.

- Conduct thorough legal research to support case and transaction strategy
- Draft contracts, briefs, motions, and correspondence with precision
- Assist/manage complex transactions from inception to close, including negotiations and closings
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with timely updates and professional service
- Collaborate with lawyers and business professionals to develop innovative strategies
- Participate in high-level legal activities such as hearings, depositions, and trials
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and stay updated on precedents
- Pursue ongoing professional development in legal knowledge and technology
- Minimum four years of lender-side representation for commercial finance matters
- Experience representing banks or private credit funds on loans to tech, life sciences, or middle-market companies (preferred)
- Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of the office location
- Direct experience at an AmLaw 100 firm (preferred)
