Overview

In this Banking & Finance Associate role, you join a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm to work on complex domestic and cross-border financing. You will collaborate with a cross-office team known for technical excellence and client focus. You will handle matters across private credit, structured finance, syndicated lending, distressed financings, receivables financings, and growth capital for lenders and borrowers. This role combines high-impact transactions with a strong mentorship culture and robust training. You will contribute to liquidity solutions and liability management for financially distressed clients, in a hybrid work setup.

Responsibilities

• Represent credit funds, lenders, borrowers, and sponsors in domestic and international financing transactions
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related documentation
• Support receivables financings and other structured credit deals, private credit, syndicated facilities, structured finance, and distressed transactions
• Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service
• Manage deal execution from diligence through closing

Key requirements

• JD from a top-tier law school
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 4-6 years of substantive experience in structured finance and secured lending at a major law firm
• Experience representing credit funds and other lenders, and/or borrowers and sponsors in a broad range of financings
• Familiarity with structured credit, receivables financings, distressed financings, and growth capital transactions
• Strong client service orientation and ability to manage multiple matters
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail
• Large law firm experience preferred
