Overview

In this Banking and Finance role in Manchester, you help leading financial clients with debt finance work and related documentation. You will draft, negotiate and review loan agreements, securities and related documents, while supporting SME lending and knowledge sharing across the firm. The role combines client engagement, process improvement through tech-enabled workflows and training colleagues. Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review financial services documents (loan agreements, security, ancillary and CP documents)
• Provide SME lending support and apply market knowledge to client engagements
• Share knowledge and train colleagues in lending SMEs
• Support clients in negotiating and executing lending transactions; develop contract negotiation playbooks
• Support clients to leverage technology-enabled workflows for contract prep, negotiation and execution

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent
• Excellent academic background
• Experience negotiating loan agreements and advising on lending and security matters
• Strong working knowledge of LMA documentation and current market practice
• Solid understanding of the financial services regulatory space affecting banks, insurers, funds and asset managers
