Overview

In this role you will build and manage a portfolio of small business banking relationships, driving new business, servicing clients, and ensuring prudent risk and credit decisions. You will collaborate with branch teams to maximize cross-sell opportunities and strengthen the bank's business customer base. You'll engage centers of influence and manage a loan portfolio while pursuing aggressive sales goals. This role offers meaningful impact through relationship growth and risk-aware lending in a regional network.

Responsibilities

• Develop new banking relationships with business prospects
• Service and manage an existing business banking client base
• Achieve sales and revenue targets as directed by management
• Collaborate with branch partners to maximize sales and cross-sell products
• Network with accountants, attorneys, and other referral sources
• Evaluate credit information and structure loans to manage risk
• Negotiate loan terms with underwriters and clients to optimize revenue and risk
• Manage loan portfolio size and lead 15-40 relationship-managed clients
• Participate in business banking and retail sales sprints and hit call/product targets
• Engage in civic and cultural organizations to raise presence and opportunities
• Utilize prescribed selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities

Key requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related sales/banking experience
• Proficiency with personal computers and department-specific software
• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns
• Sound credit skills to evaluate loan requests
• Understanding of Cash Management, Merchant Services, and Trade Services products for Business Banking
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
