Overview

In this role, you will support FORSCOM G-4 logistics audit readiness and compliance programs, ensuring sound internal controls and accurate reporting. You will work with cross-functional teams to execute GCSS-A, COPA, and contract closeout activities, and produce briefs and reports for leadership. You'll help standardize procedures, monitor progress, and coordinate corrective actions in a security-conscious, federal environment. This is a mission-driven position at FORSCOM HQ, offering exposure to defense logistics programs and IT-enabled budgeting and finance execution. You will contribute to audit readiness and program execution that safeguards assets and enhances accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide logistics audit readiness compliance and execution support for GCSS-A, COPA, and contract closeout operations
  • Monitor compliance and coordinate follow-on audit readiness activities; liaise with Army audit readiness teams during field and centralized testing
  • Develop and implement procedures for GCSS-A, COPA, and contract closeout tasks; prepare status reports for COR
  • Track and validate labor hours and contract closeout data; prepare reports and presentations for government oversight
  • Prepare and deliver technical and programmatic briefs/reports to COR; support budget validation and closeout activities
  • Manage workflow for contract closeout personnel and assist in financial analyses for closeout actions
  • Track data cleansing for GCSS-A wave implementations and coordinate with EDMO/LOGSA stakeholders
  • Attend FORSCOM G-4 GCSS-A meetings and coordinate scheduling as needed
  • Support COPA data tracking for property accountability, inventories, and related actions
  • Prepare payment documents, support DFAS interactions, and maintain closeout logs
  • Produce internal control improvements and documentation for mission-critical assets
Key requirements
  • Prior federal government advisory experience with client-facing roles
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills (e.g., MS PowerPoint)
  • Ability to pass government background check; candidate must be able to obtain Secret clearance
  • IT budgeting and programming/accounting/finance expertise in an IT environment
  • Experience with requirements determination, costing, budgeting, and reporting at federal agency levels
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of professional budget/financial experience
