Overview

As Finance Controller you ensure the integrity of US accounting, reporting and controllership, leading a finance team in a fast-paced multinational. You own the balance sheet and income statements, driving compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and company policy. You partner with Business Finance, Shared Services, Tax, Treasury, HR and Operations to deliver timely insights, strengthen controls, and support performance decisions. The role blends strong accounting discipline with process improvement and cross-functional collaboration to enable sustainable value creation.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close for US entities with accurate reporting
• Maintain balance sheet integrity and timely financial statements
• Review journals, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
• Collaborate with Business Controllers and FP&A on analysis,Forecasting and reporting
• Ensure IFRS, US GAAP, policies, and statutory compliance
• Own balance sheet governance; oversee payroll, treasury, fixed assets, intercompany; oversee P2P and O2C when impacting the balance sheet
• Maintain subledger reconciliation to General Ledger; resolve discrepancies
• Lead external/internal audits and strengthen internal controls
• Drive automation, standardization and process improvements in finance operations
• Partner with Shared Services and global teams; coach a high-performing finance team
• Support liquidity management, cash flow optimization and working capital governance
• Oversee payroll accounting and employee cost governance; ensure reconciliation and audit readiness

Key requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting, controllership, or finance operations experience
• Experience leading teams in a multinational or large corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles; GL and close processes
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems; familiarity with SAP BPC or Blackline preferred
• Advanced Excel; Power BI, Alteryx or Power Automate a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred
