Overview

As Environmental Finance Asset Manager, you oversee performance, credit monitoring, and risk for a portfolio of tax credit investments and loans. You collaborate with internal partners and external clients, track construction milestones, and ensure compliance and accurate forecasting. You review funding requests, negotiate amendments, and prepare credit memos for senior management. You lead risk assessments, oversee asset quality, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to protect investments and drive sustainable energy finance.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze operating agreements, financial statements, and related documents to evaluate investment quality and risk
  • Monitor data quality and resolve reporting errors to ensure accurate investment bookings
  • Review budgets, guarantor statements, audits, and tax returns for risk assessment
  • Prepare monthly tax credit forecasts and analyze related fees and equity contributions
  • Oversee portfolio risk assessments, quarterly reviews, and relationship management
  • Conduct site inspections and partner meetings to ensure program compliance
  • Prepare underwriting packages for complex investments and advocate for credit decisions
  • Manage transactions in line with credit standards and stakeholder expectations
  • Coordinate with external professionals (attorneys, accountants, construction consultants) for document drafting and risk mitigation
  • Ensure funding conditions are met and funding is appropriately managed
  • Coordinate investment bookings and construction monitoring with other departments
  • Contribute to policies and participate in special projects
  • Present investment status and strategies to senior management and Credit Officers
  • Maintain compliance with Code of Ethics, AML/BAA, and information security requirements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Six or more years of related experience
  • Proven credit management, underwriting and financial analysis skills
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and proforma analysis
  • Understanding of complex project finance, loan documentation, and deal structures
  • Knowledge of renewable energy project management and energy markets
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of deal documentation and identify key issues
  • Familiarity with banking processes, credit policies, and approval workflows
  • Strong time management and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
