Overview

In this role you drive strategic financial leadership for the Child Study Center, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry, ensuring sound budgeting, reporting, and workforce financial management. You will partner with department leadership to align financial plans with institutional goals and support data-driven decision making and process improvements. As part of the IBO leadership team, you influence policy, allocate scarce funds, and guide cross-functional teams through complex financial challenges. Responsibilities

• Direct restricted funds activity and ensure alignment with university goals
• Influence strategic direction and recommend solutions for department needs
• Develop, implement, and oversee financial policies for the department
• Coordinate decision-making at the officer level
• Support annual and long-range planning and policy administration for the department
• Ensure processes comply with university policies and guidelines
• Supervise exempt staff and lead teams
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting and analysis, compensation administration, labor planning, internal controls
• Strong technical and analytical skills with experience in financial and payroll systems and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present complex financial information to leaders and non-financial stakeholders
• Proven leadership and change-management experience with a focus on collaboration and confidentiality
• Knowledge of finance operations in complex institutions, preferably academic medical centers or higher education
