As VP of BD for NSO, you will shape and execute Parsons' growth in national security and cyber markets, guiding a high-performing team to win strategic, large-scale opportunities. You'll translate customer mission needs into differentiated solutions, drive pipeline health, and ensure disciplined capture execution. You'll partner across functions to elevate market position and customer trust, delivering measurable growth aligned with the Defense & Intelligence strategy. This role offers high impact, leadership responsibility, and remote work with significant travel.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the NSO strategic growth plan aligned to the Defense & Intelligence roadmap
  • Identify customer needs through deep technical engagement and translate into growth opportunities
  • Define NSO growth focus areas and translate strategy into pipeline, capture priorities, and conversion plans
  • Lead market strategies to expand Parsons' position and trust within NSO-aligned mission sets
  • Inform investment priorities (IR&D, technology differentiation, workforce, partners) using market intelligence and customer insights
  • Own NSO sales and book-to-bill performance, achieving or exceeding plan metrics
  • Establish forecasting, pipeline analytics, and operating rhythms for quarterly/annual targets
  • Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline across tactical and strategic opportunities
  • Lead NSO BD and capture teams with clear accountability and scalable staffing plans
  • Foster cross-functional alignment with Contracts, Finance, Pricing, HR, Legal, Security, and other stakeholders
Key requirements
  • 20+ years in BD, capture, strategy, pricing, proposals, or P&L leadership in federal defense/intelligence
  • Proven track record of leading capture and proposal efforts for large government programs
  • Experience operating in or with $2B+ enterprises and managing $500M+ portfolios in revenue
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI; NSA/DoD polygraph desired
  • Strong strategic orientation and ability to translate vision into executable growth plans
  • Technically fluent in mission areas like NG-C2, C5ISR, air defense, radar, PAI/OSINT, and network integration
  • Hands-on leader with accountability for execution, cadence, and performance discipline
  • Proven ability to build, mentor, and retain high-performance BD/capture teams
  • Excellent relationship-building with customers and cross-functional partners
