In this Manager role, you guide outsourced accounting for private equity-backed and growth-oriented tech and life sciences clients. You'll oversee close processes, reporting, and accounting operations while leading cross-functional teams to scale finance functions during growth, acquisitions, and transformations. You will act as a trusted advisor to CFOs and portfolio companies, shaping finance processes and system optimization. - Serve as main client contact for PE-backed and growth companies across technology and life sciences
- Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual close for timely, accurate reporting
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and schedules for quality
- Lead outsourcing engagements, overseeing offshore and domestic teams
- Design and implement scalable accounting processes to support growth
- Advise on finance transformation, ERP implementations, automation, and reporting enhancements
- Support PE portfolio companies through transactions, integrations, carve-outs, and post-close improvements
- Coordinate with executives, investors, lenders, auditors, tax advisors, and transaction teams
- Identify risks and develop practical mitigation recommendations
- Mentor staff, promote collaboration and high performance
- Support business development by strengthening client relationships and expanding engagements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or advisory experience
- Experience in public accounting, outsourced accounting, consulting, or corporate accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, close processes, reporting, and reconciliations
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and leading teams
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Strong project management, communication, and client relationship skills
- Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or high-growth environments
- Independent with minimal supervision
- Executive presence and effective stakeholder communication
- Risk assessment and escalation when needed
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- ERP experience including NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online
- Experience with ERP implementations, automation, and finance transformation
