Agency Securities Finance Trader, VP

In this role you drive cash investments and daily trading to enhance client portfolio performance within risk guidelines. You will build and maintain client relationships, identify trading opportunities, and collaborate with global teams to develop portfolio models and market commentary. You contribute to best-in-class execution and reporting while ensuring robust controls across operations and technology. This position sits on Citi's securities finance trading desk in New York, offering global coverage and impact at scale.

• Manage cash investments per client guidelines and prudential risk limits.
• Participate in daily trading to maximize client portfolio performance.
• Adhere to risk and control guidelines including counterparty limits, best execution, and fiduciary duties.
• Develop and maintain relationships with investment counterparts and monitor macro rate environments.
• Identify and present trading opportunities to manage risk and performance.
• Collaborate with global sales, client executives, and product teams to build portfolio models.
• Prepare market commentary for clients and management reporting.
• Coordinate with operations, technology, and account management to ensure controls and settlements.

• 6-10 years of Investment Trading and/or Investment Management experience, especially in global money markets; Securities Finance knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, QlikView, MS Excel modelling, and macro development.
• Ability to analyze pricing for short-term fixed income and assess relative value per guidelines.
• Strong multitasking ability and work under time pressure; self-motivated with entrepreneurial disposition.
• Ability to articulate investment thoughts to colleagues, senior management, and clients.
