In this role you will lead a newly formed Lending Authority Management team within Business Banking Credit Services. You will design and implement a Lending Authority framework for underwriters, driving efficiency, scalability, and standardized processes. You will partner with stakeholders to expand lending authority thresholds and maintain a robust control framework within risk appetite. This is a leadership role focused on transforming credit support functions and upskilling the team to ensure sound lending decisions.

- Design and execute a new Lending Authority framework for business banking underwriters
- Champion transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and standardization across credit support functions
- Collaborate with leaders and analytics partners to identify gaps in lending authority coverage by product, region, seniority, and capacity
- Establish and monitor ongoing Lending Authority control framework within defined risk appetite
- Directly manage a team of 3 to 5 professionals
- Define role-based goals, supervise performance, and provide mentorship
- Support interviewing, hiring and training of new employees
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically 10+ years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of credit policies, credit analysis, procedures and philosophy
- Analytical skills in asset utilization and goal evaluation
- Demonstrated analytical and risk analysis abilities
