Overview

In this Controller role for a San Francisco private equity firm, you lead financial operations and act as a hands-on, strategic partner to the Managing Partner. You oversee treasury, reporting, and capital activity while driving operational improvements in a growth-focused environment. You will manage a remote/ outsourced accounting setup and ensure accurate, timely financials for internal stakeholders and investors. This position offers visible leadership and a chance to shape financial best practices in a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee treasury management, fund wires, capital calls and distributions, and investment of excess cash
• Produce and maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts and annual cash flow projections
• Lead the annual budgeting process and updates
• Manage outsourced accounting team and ensure reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Develop and monitor financial metrics, management reporting, and investor reporting materials
• Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurance providers, and IT partners
• Support federal/state income tax and sales tax compliance
• Partner with leadership to implement operating improvements and financial best practices

Key requirements
