Reflection Ridge Retirement in Wichita, KS is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations in our Luxury Independent Senior Living community.
Schedule: Primarily Sunday-Thursday, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

About the Role
As Executive Chef, you'll lead our Culinary and Dining Team in a true hands-on working chef role. You'll work alongside your team preparing fresh, scratch-made meals, mentoring staff, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for Residents.
You'll oversee our Signature Freedom Dining program, creating a resort-style dining experience through exceptional food quality, flexible dining options, and genuine Resident engagement. Your leadership will play a key role in making dining one of the highlights of community life.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside the culinary team in daily kitchen operations, preparing and serving high-quality, scratch-made meals with exceptional presentation.
- Maintain excellence in food quality and safety, ensuring compliance with all food handling, sanitation, hygiene, and kitchen safety standards.
- Train, coach, and develop team members, partnering with the Dining Room Supervisor to deliver a seamless dining experience.
- Manage culinary operations, including purchasing, receiving, inventory control, vendor relationships, invoicing, labor scheduling, and cost management.
- Build meaningful relationships with Residents by gathering feedback, hosting Chef Chats, Cooking Demos, and tailoring menus to meet Resident preferences and expectations.
What We're Looking For
- At least 21 years of age.
- Culinary leadership experience with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality dining experiences.
- Hands-on leadership style, leading by example while working alongside your team in daily kitchen operations.
- Strong communication and hospitality skills with a resident-focused approach.
- High school diploma or GED required; culinary education or training preferred.
- ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and basic computer proficiency, including Outlook and Excel.
